Printing Wood
This machine is a piezoelectric inkjet printer with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 DPI. The print head moves over the wood surface with 10-micron positioning accuracy. It uses water-based inks containing 20% UV-resistant pigments. These inks penetrate 0.2 mm deep into the wood substrate. Maximum print dimensions are 2500 x 1300 mm with workpiece thickness up to 100 mm. A plasma pre-treatment system optimizes the wood surface for ink adhesion. This process reduces the surface contact angle to below 30 degrees.
The machine structure features a vacuum table with 80 kPa suction for complete part stabilization. Post-printing, a UV-LED curing system at 385 nm wavelength and 240 W/cm power dries ink in 3 seconds. This method increases abrasion resistance of the print to 4H pencil hardness. Print speed in high-quality mode is 15 square meters per hour. Print position repeatability accuracy is within ±0.1 mm. All ink-wetted parts are made of 316 stainless steel or PTFE. The machine can print on raw wood, MDF, and particle board.
