The A7V rotary group is an axial piston pump with a fixed swashplate and constant flow design. Its main housing is cast from EN-GJL-250 gray iron with 250 MPa compressive strength. The cylinder block is constructed from hardened 16MnCr5 steel with 7 radial pistons and return springs. The swashplate angle is fixed at a constant 20 degrees with a ±0.1-degree tolerance. This unit withstands 280 bar continuous operating pressure and 350 bar peaks per ISO 3 standards. Nominal flow at 1500 RPM is 80 liters per minute with a ±3% tolerance. Volumetric efficiency under rated conditions reaches 92 percent.

The internal structure includes a factory-set safety relief valve adjusted to 310 bar. A forced lubrication system with an internal gear pump and 25-micron filter operates continuously. The input shaft is made from nitrided 42CrMo4 steel with an ISO 14 class spline connection. The permissible hydraulic oil operating temperature ranges from -10°C to +90°C. Generated noise level at rated pressure and one-meter distance measures maximum 75 decibels. The housing is corrosion-protected with an epoxy primer and industrial topcoat.
