80mm Thermal Paper Roll for POS Systems

The 80mm thermal paper roll is produced from 55 to 60 gsm paper grammage. Its core has a standard internal diameter of 12.7mm 0.5 inches, and the full roll outer diameter ranges from 80 to 85mm. The paper length per roll varies between 35 and 45 meters, depending on thickness. The thermal sensitive layer is coated with a BPA-Free formulation for enhanced safety. This paper produces an image with 90% contrast at printhead temperatures of 180 to 220°C. The printed image lifespan under normal light is guaranteed for at least 5 years. Rolls are supplied in vacuum-sealed, oxygen-barrier packaging.

The paper structure consists of three layers: base, thermosensitive coating, and protective layer. The base layer is made from white chemical pulp with a neutral pH of 7.5 to 8.5. The thermosensitive coating contains crystalline color-formers like leuco dye, activated by heat. The rolls are precision-cut with smooth edges having a tolerance of ±0.2mm. The heat-sensitive layer contains Leuco Dye and Developer crystals, 4 to 6 microns thick. The thermal activation point for this paper begins at 60 to 80 degrees Celsius.
