Self Drilling Bolt
A bolt is a threaded mechanical fastener used to join and secure metal, wood, or plastic components in industrial and structural applications. Bolt diameters typically range from M2 to M100, with thread lengths from 4 to 500 mm. Materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, or aluminum, often heat-treated to achieve tensile strength between 400 and 1200 MPa. Surface coatings such as galvanization, chrome, nickel, or powder coating protect against corrosion and wear.
Structurally, the bolt consists of an external thread, bolt head, and appropriate slot for tool engagement. Common head types include hex, Allen, slotted, and Phillips, compatible with various installation tools. Standard safety factors range from 1.5 to 2.5 times the working load. Bolts are widely used in industrial machinery, construction, pneumatic equipment, and engineering structures, enabling fast and secure assembly and disassembly.
