Diamond MDF Screw
The MDF Diamond screw features a unique thread geometry with a dual-pitch design for optimal performance. This screw incorporates sharp cutting threads with a 30-degree angle at its tip. Three diamond-shaped cutting grooves are positioned around the screw tip for clean material removal. These grooves cut through MDF particles without causing cracks or delamination. The first thread pitch is coarser than the second pitch for progressive engagement. The coarse pitch enables rapid entry into the MDF surface layer. The second finer pitch engages deeper within the material for secure holding. Threads continue along 80 percent of the screw shank length for maximum grip. The head type is a pan head with a four-lobed recess (Phillips or Pozidriv compatible).
The MDF Diamond screw is manufactured from medium carbon steel alloy with 0.35 to 0.45 percent carbon content. Heat treatment through hardening and tempering produces a surface hardness of 50 to 55 Rockwell C. A white or yellow chromate zinc coating with 8 to 12 microns thickness is applied as surface finish. This coating provides enhanced resistance against moisture from wood glues and adhesives. The 35-degree tip angle with 0.3 millimeter radius curvature prevents edge cracking of MDF panels. mdf screw dia4
Size 4 MDF screws are used to connect MDF panels in decoration and kitchen. MDF screw size 4 is actually a type of self-tapping screw that is produced with large and sharp ribs to have a high speed for connecting MDF wooden sheets. In fact, with the replacement of chipboard and many wooden structures due to the high price of wood with MDF, the use of automatic MDF screws, which are also connected using electrical devices, has been greatly expanded. Amer DF size 4 screw is produced in different lengths from 1 cm to 4 cm and with long pitch ribs.
