Ferodo Woven Lining
Woven roll brake lining is manufactured using reinforced fibers and heat-resistant yarns, offering a cohesive yet flexible structure. Its typical thickness ranges from 4 to 10 millimeters, with a density between 1.6 and 2.2 grams per cubic centimeter. The coefficient of friction is measured between 0.35 and 0.45 in dry conditions and 0.30 to 0.38 when wet. It withstands thermal exposure up to 480 degrees Celsius without deformation under stress. The wear rate is reported to be less than 0.06 millimeters per 1,000 kilometers under standard industrial conditions.
The woven structure allows high flexibility and adaptability to uneven brake surfaces. Tensile strength ranges from 120 to 160 megapascals, and surface hardness is rated between 60 and 75 Rockwell C. The layered spiral weave pattern helps evenly distribute applied forces across the entire contact surface. This lining is ideal for industrial brake systems exposed to vibration or intermittent motion. Its estimated service life is up to 95,000 braking cycles under intermittent operation.
