Diamond Core Drill Bit for Masonry Walls
Diamond wall drill bits are constructed from a thin-walled steel tube with nickel plating. Their diameter varies from 14 to 300 mm for different applications. The effective cutting length typically ranges from 200 to 1000 mm based on required depth. High-grade industrial diamond particles of 30/40 mesh are distributed across the cutting segment. A soft, sintered cobalt-iron bond matrix is utilized. This bond enables fast cutting of abrasive materials like concrete, brick, and stone. The bits operate on core drilling rigs at 200 to 1500 RPM. A water cooling system with 2-8 liters per minute flow is essential for heat and dust suppression.
The bits are designed as one-piece or segmented with threaded connections. The standard shank features 1.25-inch threads or a quick-connect European system. The tube wall thickness ranges from 2.5 to 6 mm, balancing strength and performance. Some models feature cross slots for rapid slurry removal. Diamond core bits often have a diamond-impregnated tip profile for pilot-free starting. They can core into materials with compressive strength up to 50 MPa. Their average service life is 50 to 150 linear meters of cutting, depending on material. The dimensional accuracy of the drilled hole is typically within +0.5/-0 mm of the nominal diameter.

Diamond Core Drill Bit for Iron and Steel
Diamond core drill bits for iron are produced in diameters from 14 to 160 millimeters. The main body is made from forged medium carbon steel C45. The cutting segment consists of 50/60 mesh industrial diamond grains in a metal matrix. This segment is bonded to the body using laser welding technology with 0.02 mm precision. The effective cutting depth of these bits is up to 40 millimeters in steel. Optimal rotational speed is set between 300 to 1000 RPM depending on diameter. Internal cooling with water or oil-emulsion solution is mandatory. This drill can create holes with H9 dimensional tolerance in steel up to 35 HRC hardness.
The bit structure features helical flutes with a 35-degree angle for rapid chip evacuation. Cutting edges are coated with TiAlN nanocomposite to reduce friction. This coating increases surface hardness up to 3200 Vickers. The drill shank is typically triangular or cylindrical with an h6 tolerance. Average tool life before re-sharpening is 400 to 800 holes in structural steel. The bit diameter deviation under standard conditions is less than 0.1 millimeters. This bit is designed for use with stationary grinders or pillar drill machines. Its performance results in a hole surface roughness better than Ra 6.3 micrometers.

Wood Drill Bit
Wood drill bits are crafted from high-carbon steel or High-Speed Steel HSS. Their standard diameter varies from 2 to 50 millimeters. Overall bit length is designed between 60 to 300 mm based on application. The cutting lip angle is typically 60 degrees with a 118-degree point angle. Spade bit edges are ground with a 10-degree relief angle. The flute helix depth is approximately 0.25 times the bit diameter. This design enables efficient evacuation of long wood chips. Brad point bits feature a central spur for precise positioning. Surface hardness of heat-treated HSS bits reaches 64 Rockwell C.
The bit structure comprises a cutting tip, guiding body, and shank. Standard hex shanks measuring 1.5 to 13 mm are used for hand drills. Industrial bits often feature straight shanks with 6 to 12 mm diameters. Forstner bits have two peripheral lips and a central flat cutter. A titanium nitride coating of 3 microns triples tool life on some models. Recommended cutting speed for softwood is 3 to 6 meters per minute. For hardwoods, this speed reduces to 2 to 4 meters per minute. These bits can create holes with positional accuracy of 0.1 millimeters.
