Uniform strand lay balances stress distribution and reduces metal fatigue under repeated loading. Standard coil lengths range from 50 to 200 meters, and proper flexibility ensures smooth operation on sheaves and pulley grooves. Tensile strength ranges from 1570 to 2160 MPa, and the design safety factor is 5 to 7 to ensure safe performance under cyclic loads and sudden shocks. Structurally, the rope consists of six main strands with fatigue-resistant steel wires and uniform strand lay. The core is often an independent wire rope core IWRC to enhance torsional stability and bending resistance. Standard lengths range from 50 to 200 meters, and smooth outer surfaces allow safe installation on drums and pulleys.
