Caterpillar 950 loader exhaust

The exhaust system of the Caterpillar 950 loader is manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel to ensure high resistance to heat, vibration, and corrosion. The system includes an exhaust manifold, reinforced mid-pipe, multi-stage silencer, and vertical outlet. The internal pipe diameter ranges from 70 to 85 millimeters, with a wall thickness of approximately 1.8 millimeters. The silencer features a multilayer ceramic fiber structure that reduces engine noise by up to 40 decibels. All joints are precisely TIG welded to prevent gas leakage and extend the system’s lifespan.

In the design of the Caterpillar 950 loader exhaust, exhaust gas flow is optimized to limit back pressure to less than 8 percent of engine power loss. The aluminum-coated surface withstands temperatures up to 900 degrees Celsius, preventing oxidation and corrosion. The total system weight ranges between 17 and 21 kilograms and allows direct mounting on the loader chassis. A double-layer thermal insulator in the central section prevents heat transfer to the air filter and fuel system, improving operational safety and reliability.
