The exhaust system of the Caterpillar 930 loader is constructed from grade 304 stainless steel alloyed with chromium and nickel to ensure high resistance to heat, vibration, and corrosion. The system includes an exhaust manifold, reinforced mid-pipe, multi-stage silencer, and a 45-degree vertical outlet. The silencer’s multilayer ceramic fiber structure reduces engine noise by up to 40 decibels. All joints are precision TIG welded to eliminate gas leakage and extend system durability.
In the design of the Caterpillar 930 loader exhaust, gas flow is engineered so that pressure loss remains below 7 percent of engine power. The high-temperature surface coating withstands up to 900 degrees Celsius, preventing oxidation and discoloration. The total system weight ranges from 16 to 20 kilograms, allowing direct installation on the main chassis. A dual-layer thermal insulator in the central section prevents heat transfer to the air filter and fuel system, enhancing operational safety and reliability.
