The KITZ brand forged steel needle valve is manufactured from carbon steel ASTM A105 and is suitable for high-pressure applications up to ANSI Class 800. It features a hard-faced metal seat with a precisely machined conical angle to ensure smooth and accurate flow control. Its operating temperature range is from -29°C to 425°C, making it suitable for steam, gas, and industrial liquids. The valve body is forged and designed according to ASME B16.34 standards, with connection options including flanged, socket weld, or threaded NPT ends. The sealing system utilizes compressed graphite or optional PTFE for enhanced durability. The conical disc ensures precise throttling and reliable shut-off under varying operational conditions.
The KITZ needle valve is available in nominal sizes ranging from 1/2 inch to 2 inches, making it ideal for refinery, petrochemical, and power plant applications. The non-rotating stem with precision threads reduces friction and wear, enhancing the valve’s service life. The exterior is protected with an anti-corrosive coating and industrial-grade epoxy paint. This valve can be installed in both horizontal and vertical pipelines, and its weight varies between 3 to 8 kilograms depending on the size. It is manufactured in compliance with API 602 and MSS SP-99 requirements and undergoes full hydrostatic testing according to API 598 standards.
