The Kitz 3-inch Class 300 flanged gate valve is manufactured with a steel or ductile iron body, rated for Class 300 pressure per ASME B16.34 standards. It operates as a gate valve with a linear sliding disc mechanism, providing full open or closed flow control and is not suitable for throttling. Internal components, including the disc and seat, are made of stainless steel or bronze for corrosion and wear resistance, capable of handling operating temperatures from 0°C to 425°C. The flanged design conforms to ASME B16.5, ANSI B16.47, or JIS B2220 standards, allowing secure and fast installation between standard flanged pipelines. Internal sealing with high-performance washers ensures minimal leakage and quiet, reliable operation.
Depending on body material, the valve weighs between 15 and 25 kilograms. The body and disc are designed to withstand pressure surges and impacts, making it suitable for water, steam, oil, and other industrial and chemical fluids. Flanges feature standard bolt patterns and corrosion-resistant coating for easy installation and long-term protection. The Kitz 3-inch Class 300 flanged gate valve offers robust construction, long service life, and safe operation, making it a primary choice for oil, gas, power plants, and high-pressure industrial pipelines.

To install a Class 300 Kitz flanged gate valve, first shut off system flow and fully release internal pressure. The valve should be installed horizontally or vertically with full pipe support to prevent excess load on the body. Flanges must be tightened with 150 Nm torque, using PTFE or graphite gaskets according to ASME B16.5. For maintenance, inspect the body and flanges periodically for corrosion and cracks. Internal PTFE or graphite seals should be checked every 6–12 months and replaced if necessary. Lubricating the valve stem with high-temperature grease up to 250°C ensures smooth operation and extended system lifespan.
