HITACHI excavator water separator filter
The Hitachi excavator diesel water separator filter is designed to remove water and suspended particles from fuel, extending the life of diesel engine pumps and injectors. The filter element is made of multi-layer synthetic fibers, capable of filtering particles as small as 5 microns. Water separation capacity ranges from 50 to 100 milliliters, with standard operating pressure between 1.5 and 3 bar. The industrial-grade plastic body withstands temperatures from -20 to 90 °C, and durable gaskets ensure precise sealing to prevent dust and water ingress.
Internally, the filter has a reinforced core with a metal mesh to prevent deformation and fuel flow blockage. Installation can be twist-on or cartridge type, compatible with standard Hitachi excavator fuel systems. The water collection chamber allows quick and leak-free drainage. Filter service life depends on fuel quality and operating conditions, typically between 500 and 800 hours.
