The Gates BX36 V-belt is a cogged, narrow-section B series belt with an X profile. The top width of the belt is 17 mm and the height is approximately 11 mm. The internal length of the belt is 914 mm, while the external length is close to 950 mm. The cogged design enhances flexibility when used with smaller pulleys and reduces heat losses. The power transmission efficiency of this model has been measured up to 97 percent. Manufactured according to international RMA and ISO standards, the belt operates reliably within a temperature range of -30 to +90 degrees Celsius.
The tensile strength of the Gates BX36 V-belt is reinforced with polyester cords, providing a power transmission capacity of about 6 kW at medium speeds. The hardness of the neoprene rubber used is approximately 70 Shore A, which creates a balance between durability and flexibility. This belt is suitable for industrial machinery including compressors, water pumps, centrifugal fans, and general power transmission systems. Reduced vibration and low noise generation are also considered major structural advantages.
