Non-asbestos brake linings NAO – Non Asbestos Organic have become the standard and safer alternative to traditional asbestos-based linings due to the carcinogenic nature of asbestos fibers. These linings are typically manufactured from a composite of high-strength synthetic fibers such as aramid and Kevlar, soft metallic particles, mineral fillers, phenolic resins, and ceramic friction modifiers. This formulation provides a stable coefficient of friction, thermal resistance above 350 °C, and excellent mechanical strength.
