The elevator traction machine is a geared or gearless synchronous type with AC or PMSM Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor drive. Rated torque varies from 300 to 3500 Nm, designed to withstand 150% overload for 30 seconds. Motors feature forced oil or air cooling systems and operate within –40°C to +50°C ambient temperature. Variable Frequency Drives VFD feature vector control precision with ±2 mm stopping accuracy. Motors are equipped with PT100 sensors for winding temperature monitoring and 16-bit encoders for position control.
