The Cummins 1026BT engine fan is made from aluminum and steel alloy with heat- and corrosion-resistant coating, ensuring durability at engine speeds up to 3500 rpm and operating temperatures up to 120°C. The fan diameter ranges from 450 to 600 mm, with 6 to 8 blades. The blades are hydrodynamically designed with a 25-degree angle and curved cross-section to increase airflow by 15% and reduce engine temperature under heavy load.
The central shaft is made of hardened steel, 35 mm in diameter and 120 mm in length, capable of withstanding radial loads up to 1200 N and axial loads up to 800 N. Surface coating with anodizing and 150-micron epoxy ensures corrosion and industrial moisture resistance. Installation uses grade 10.9 steel bolts, and vibration and dynamic balancing tests with ±0.5 g accuracy ensure a service life exceeding 10 years.
