Vogiran dual plate wafer check valve PN16
The Vogiran dual plate wafer check valve PN16 features a compact design with a ductile iron GGG40 or carbon steel body, rated for a nominal pressure of 16 bar. It incorporates two semi-circular stainless steel plates hinged on a central shaft and held by a torsion spring that allows quick opening during forward flow and rapid closure when flow stops, effectively preventing backflow and water hammer. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 200°C, with internal sealing provided by EPDM or NBR elastomers. Its wafer-style body ensures a lightweight structure and easy installation between EN1092-2 flanges, ideal for applications where space is limited.
Depending on nominal size DN50–DN300, the valve weight varies from 2 to 25 kilograms, with minimal pressure drop across the flow path. The symmetric dual-disc design and central spring ensure silent operation and fast response to flow reversal. The internal surface is epoxy-coated for corrosion protection, extending service life in humid or aggressive environments.
