Self Drilling Hex Bolt
The hex head self-drilling screw is a mechanical fastener with an integrated drill tip for simultaneous drilling and fastening into metal sheets. Diameter ranges from 4 to 12 mm, with lengths between 16 and 200 mm. Made from hardened carbon steel or stainless steel A2/A4, tensile strength ranges from 600–900 MPa. The hex head, with standard height 6–12 mm, allows fast installation using a wrench or power screwdriver. Galvanized, chrome, or epoxy coating increases corrosion resistance and durability in harsh environments.
The drill tip, angled 60–90 degrees, enables drilling without pre-holes. Threads are precisely designed to create strong, uniform connections in steel sheets 0.5–8 mm thick. Common applications include metal structures, industrial profiles, warehouses, and construction equipment. Optimized mechanical design and resistant coating provide long service life and reduce maintenance requirements.
