Long base polyethylene flange
Long base polyethylene flanges are typically made from high-density polyethylene HDPE with a density ranging from 0.94 to 0.96 grams per cubic centimeter. These flanges can withstand nominal pressures between 6 to 16 bar PN6 to PN16 and operate within a temperature range of -20 to +60 degrees Celsius. Their manufacturing standards generally comply with international norms such as ISO 4437 and ASTM F1055. The nominal diameter of these flanges usually varies from 20 millimeters up to 1200 millimeters, depending on project requirements.
The dimensions of the long base flange include a base height between 20 to 50 millimeters, designed to facilitate connection and enhance strength. The flange surface is produced either flat or grooved to ensure reliable sealing in piping systems. Due to the lightweight polyethylene material, these flanges are easy to install and transport. The long base flange can connect to polyethylene pipes and metal flanges via bolts or thermal fusion welding, making them widely used in water, wastewater, gas, and agricultural industries.
