The FD50 forklift hydraulic pump is typically a high-performance two-stage vane pump. It is designed to provide high flow at low pressure and reduced flow at high pressure. Its nominal first-stage flow reaches 60 liters per minute at 40 bar pressure. The second stage delivers 25 liters per minute at an operating pressure of 150 bar. The maximum allowable system pressure is limited to 180 bar. This pump is directly driven by the forklifts diesel or gasoline engine at 2000 to 2400 RPM. The two-stage operation enables faster lifting and lowering cycles.

The pumps structure consists of an aluminum housing, a steel rotor, vanes, and cam rings. The vanes are made from hardened steel with a high surface finish. The pump dimensions are approximately 35 cm in length and 20 cm in diameter. Its weight is around 15 kilograms. It utilizes a through-flow oil cooling system. Internal check valves control the transition between the two pumping stages. Its design is suitable for operating temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius.
