Lifting connectors are manufactured from Grade 80 or 100 alloy steel per ASTM A489. The tensile strength of this material reaches 800 to 1000 MPa. Main components include shackles, eye bolts, turnbuckles, and hooks with a minimum safety factor of 5:1. Hooks undergo quench and temper heat treatment. This process achieves a hardness of 32 to 40 HRC. All fittings undergo proof load testing to 1.5 times their working load limit prior to release. The pin diameter varies from 20 to 150 mm. Each fitting is marked with its WLL, weight, and a unique serial number.

The surface is coated with hot-dip galvanizing or metallizing. This coating withstands a 720-hour salt spray test. The allowable angular deviation in shackles is typically a maximum of 45 degrees. The pin locking mechanism is designed as a safety screw pin or bolt. Wire rope fittings must precisely match the rope or sling diameter. The minimum hook inside bend radius is 1.5 times its base diameter. Mandatory visual and magnetic particle inspections are required every 12 months. These inspections detect potential fatigue cracks.
