The Gboard mold and mildew resistant gypsum panel features a gypsum core enhanced with moisture inhibiting additives, providing an approximate density of 780 to 880 kilograms per cubic meter. Its surface is coated with antimicrobial treated paper that prevents fungal growth under relative humidity levels up to 90 percent. The board is produced in a 12.5 millimeter thickness and dimensions of 1200 by 2400 millimeters, making it suitable for semi humid interior applications. Surface water absorption remains below 5 percent, and the stable facing reduces joint compound degradation. This product is used in washrooms, kitchens, and low ventilation interior spaces.
The Gboard mold resistant gypsum board offers a vapor diffusion resistance factor of roughly 10 micro meters per pascal meter, allowing gradual moisture release from wall assemblies. Its longitudinal bending strength ranges from 500 to 620 newtons, providing adequate rigidity for CW and UW metal framing systems. An optimal stud spacing of 40 centimeters prevents curvature and settlement. Installation uses 25 to 35 millimeter screws, and double layer application can reduce system moisture sensitivity by up to 30 percent. The product complies with EN 520 type H2 and meets biological growth control testing requirements.
