Frodo or Frodos Lent
Ferodo brake pads are specialized components used in disc and drum brake systems, manufactured in compliance with international standards. Their coefficient of friction ranges from 0.35 to 0.42 and they maintain stable performance within an operating temperature range of 100 to 450 degrees Celsius. The Premier series is designed for passenger vehicles, with the friction material thickness varying between 10 to 16 millimeters. Brake response time with these pads is recorded at less than 0.3 seconds, and they achieve high scores in ECE R90 tests for braking stability and consistency.
The material structure of Ferodo pads consists of a blend of organic fibers, heat-resistant compounds, and light metallic particles such as copper or soft steel. This formulation reduces disc wear and extends pad life up to 40,000 kilometers. Under normal driving conditions, pad thickness decreases by approximately 0.05 millimeters per 1,000 kilometers. At temperatures exceeding 500 degrees Celsius, friction performance drops by only about 10 percent, indicating excellent thermal resistance. These pads feature anti-noise design and cooling grooves that reduce brake noise and vibration by up to 30 percent.
