The connecting rod bushing for New Holland B110 and B115 engines is made from chrome-moly alloy steel with surface heat treatment and hardening to withstand cylinder pressures up to 20 MPa and operating temperatures up to 250 degrees Celsius. The internal diameter ranges from 50 to 52 millimeters, with a length of approximately 60 millimeters. The contact surfaces with the shaft and connecting rod are finished to 0.01 millimeter smoothness. Wear-resistant coating and nitriding treatment extend the service life up to 12,000 operating hours. Surface hardness ranges from 58 to 62 Rockwell C, and the friction coefficient with the crankshaft is controlled between 0.08 and 0.11.
In the design of the New Holland B110 and B115 bushing, oil distribution is engineered to ensure uniform friction and efficient heat transfer to the oil. Mechanical resistance to instantaneous shock reaches 1200 Nm. Each bushing weighs approximately 0.25 to 0.3 kilograms and is mounted directly on the connecting rod using a standard groove. Chemical resistance to engine oil and additives is guaranteed up to 95 percent, and thermal deformation is limited to less than 0.03 millimeters.

Piston diameters range from 70 to 150 millimeters with a stroke of 60 to 180 millimeters, designed for operating temperatures up to 250°C and combustion pressures up to 100 bar. Bearings are designed for dynamic loads of 5 to 50 tons and lubricated with 10W-40 engine oil. Gaskets are made of copper or steel with nickel coating to prevent oil and water leakage up to 10 bar.
Bushings and pistons are manufactured with dimensional accuracy of 0.01 millimeters and inspected using non-destructive testing including ultrasonic and dye penetrant methods. Piston surfaces are coated with nickel-phosphorus or graphite to reduce friction and extend service life up to 8,000 hours. Assembly follows ISO 9001 and DIN 17005 standards, ensuring reliable piston and bearing performance under high temperature and pressure conditions.
