Standard diameters typically range from 5 to 15 millimeters, with tensile strength measured between 70 and 100 megapascals. These belts operate reliably within a temperature range of -15 to +80 degrees Celsius and support accurate thermal welding for seamless joining.

The polyester core in the polycord belt improves performance in systems with frequent starts and stops by preventing undesired longitudinal stretch. Required initial tension during installation is typically lower than non-reinforced belts, defined between 3% and 5%. This reduces bearing loads and extends the service life of mechanical components.
