The Rossi R-MR Series worm gearbox combines compact design with high efficiency, suitable for light to medium-duty industrial applications. This hybrid configuration integrates a worm stage and a helical stage, providing torque transmission up to approximately 2,500 Nm. The gear ratio ranges from 7 to 500, with operational efficiency between 85 and 93 percent. The housing is made of die-cast aluminum for smaller sizes and G200 grey cast iron for larger units. The worm gear is manufactured from hardened alloy steel, while the bronze wheel is made of CuSn12 alloy, ensuring reduced wear and low noise. Its finned surface enables natural cooling for continuous-duty operation.
The Rossi R-MR gearbox utilizes precision ball bearings and NBR rubber seals to minimize oil leakage and extend service life. It supports horizontal, vertical, and flange-mounted configurations and can be coupled with IEC electric motors up to 18.5 kW. The operating temperature range is from -20 to +80 degrees Celsius, with a nominal noise level below 70 dB. The total unit weight varies from 25 to 160 kilograms depending on size.
