The Mahab underground fire hydrant valve is constructed from ductile iron GGG40 with electrostatic epoxy coating, designed for installation in underground water supply networks. It is available in nominal diameters from 80 to 150 millimeters with a working pressure of PN16. The internal wedge is made of bronze or stainless steel AISI 304 with EPDM sealing to ensure zero leakage under high pressure. The operating system features a surface-accessible spindle with a BS 750 fire hydrant interface. The maximum operating temperature is 70°C, and the valve body is fully resistant to impact, corrosion, and wear.
The Mahab underground fire hydrant valve is used to provide rapid water access during emergency and firefighting operations. It is manually operated using a special key or gearbox. Hydrostatic testing is performed at 24 bar, and leakage testing at 17.6 bar. The special cover and protective box design offer easy access and high safety. The valve weighs approximately 78 kg at 100 mm size. A 250-micron powder epoxy coating ensures a service life exceeding 20 years. The valve complies with BS 5163 and EN 1074 standards, suitable for municipal and industrial networks.
