The Mahab knife gate valve features a ductile iron GGG40 body and an AISI 304 stainless steel gate, ensuring reliable operation in slurry and solid-laden fluids. It is available in nominal diameters from 50 to 1000 millimeters with a working pressure of up to 10 bar. The gate is precision-machined and polished to provide complete sealing under heavy-duty conditions. The flanged connection conforms to EN 1092-2 standard, and the valve operates at temperatures up to 100°C. Perimeter sealing is made of NBR or EPDM rubber, offering high abrasion and chemical resistance.
The Mahab knife gate valve is available with manual, gearbox, electric, or pneumatic actuators. Hydrostatic testing is performed at 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and leakage testing is limited to 0.1% of rated flow. The unique gate design enables smooth cutting of suspended solids, preventing clogging in the flow path. The 300 mm model weighs approximately 65 kg. All moving parts are manufactured with ±0.3 mm tolerance to ensure smooth, vibration-free performance. This valve is widely used in paper, mining, wastewater, and mineral processing industries.

The Mahab knife gate valve, with a corrosion-resistant cast iron or steel body and a wear-resistant coated disc, provides over 15 years of service life under normal operating conditions. To maintain stable performance and prevent leakage, periodic inspection of flanges, the disc, and the opening/closing mechanism is recommended. Internal cleaning and lubrication according to the manufacturer’s instructions prevent corrosion and premature wear. Correct installation by aligning the valve axis and applying proper torque to bolts ensures precise operation and reduces excessive stress on the body. Following these maintenance guidelines extends the service life of the Mahab knife gate valve and optimizes maintenance costs in water, wastewater, and industrial networks.
