These filters are made from 100% pure polypropylene fibers using a melt-blown deep-bed structure with a density of 0.45 g/cm³. Filtration ratings range from 1 to 100 microns most common: 5, 10, and 20 microns with ±3% tolerance. Maximum operating pressure is 8 bar 116 psi at temperatures from 2 to 52°C. Nominal flow rates are 10 L/min for the 10-inch size and 2 L/min for the 2.5-inch size.
The filter structure features irregular fibers with variable porosity from outer to inner layers gradient density. The core is reinforced polypropylene with 30 MPa tensile strength to prevent tearing. Standard fittings are polymer or brass with 1/4-inch NPT sockets and silicone O-ring gaskets. Initial pressure drop is below 0.2 bar for a clean filter, reaching up to 0.8 bar at end-of-life. Filter life varies from 3 to 6 months or 7500 to 15000 liters 10-inch size depending on water quality.
