The NP 400 T water filter is made from compressed polypropylene with nanopolymer matrix technology. Standard dimensions: length 40 cm, outer diameter 7.6 cm, and inner diameter 2.8 cm. It features a precise 0.5-micron filtration rating for removing suspended particles, bacteria, and protozoan cysts. Maximum operating pressure is 12 bar 174 psi at temperatures from 2 to 60°C. Nominal flow capacity is 25 liters per minute with an initial pressure drop below 0.25 bar. Service life reaches up to 18 months or 57,000 liters based on NSF Standard 42.
The filter structure includes seven progressive layers with porosities of 20, 10, 5, 3, 1, 0.7, and 0.5 microns in flow direction. The core is nanofiber-reinforced polypropylene with 50 MPa tensile strength. Fittings are surgical brass with chrome plating and high-temperature/pressure resistant EPDM gaskets. How to Install and Replace a Water Filter
To install or replace a water filter, first close the units main water supply valve. Then, release the internal system pressure by opening the purge valve. Using the filter wrench, open the filter housing and remove the used cartridge. Rinse the filter housing with clean water to flush out any sediment. Lubricate the new O-rings and place them in their grooves. Insert the new filter into the housing, ensuring the correct installation direction following the arrow on the casing. Hand-tighten the housing, then use the wrench to tighten it an additional half to three-quarters of a turn. After reconnecting, open the supply valve and check the system for leaks. Finally, flush the initial outlet water for about 5 minutes to rinse the filter.
