A chain hoist is a mechanical lifter utilizing two independent chain sets. The load chain is Grade 8 alloy steel with 800 N/mm² tensile strength. The hand chain is made from carbon steel with a circular cross-section. Gears are case-hardened steel with a hardening depth of 0.8 mm. The standard mechanical advantage ratio is 28:1. This ratio reduces user input force to approximately 32 kgf for a 1-ton load. The automatic brake is a load-sensitive disc type system. It securely locks the load at any release angle of the lever.
Standard capacity starts at 0.5 tons and extends to 20 tons. Overall dimensions for a 2-ton model are about 30 x 20 x 15 cm. The units weight is equivalent to 25% of its nominal capacity. Standard load chain length is 3 meters with 6 and 9-meter options. The maximum pull angle for the hand chain is 30 degrees from vertical. It mounts onto structural beams with a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa. Its permitted operating temperature ranges from -20°C to +120°C.
