ROSSI AS Series worm gearbox

The ROSSI AS Series worm gearbox is a compact and precise transmission unit designed for industrial applications with limited installation space, combining both worm and helical stages. It delivers output torque up to approximately 1,800 Nm, with a reduction ratio ranging from 7 to 400. The mechanical efficiency of this series varies between 85 and 92 percent, offering improved performance over single-stage worm designs. The main housing is made of die-cast aluminum or EN-GJL200 ductile cast iron, providing both strength and low weight. The worm shaft is case-hardened alloy steel, and the bronze gear is made of CuSn12 alloy for reduced friction and enhanced durability.

The ROSSI AS Series gearbox features precision bearings and NBR seals to prevent oil leakage and internal contamination. It supports horizontal, vertical, and flange-mounted configurations and can be coupled with IEC standard motors up to 15 kW. The operational temperature range is from -20 to +80 degrees Celsius, with a nominal noise level below 70 dB. The net weight varies from 20 to 140 kilograms depending on model size. Certified under CE and ISO 9001 standards, the AS Series gearbox is ideal for conveyors, food processing equipment, packaging machinery, and material handling systems.
