The top exhaust of the Komatsu D85 rocket-type bulldozer is engineered for efficient exhaust gas discharge and noise reduction under heavy-duty working conditions. It is made from heat-resistant alloy steel with an Fe-Cr-Ni composition, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 700°C. The shell thickness ranges from 2.5 to 3 mm, coated with a high-temperature silicone-based protective paint. The total exhaust length is approximately 950 mm, with an outlet diameter of 115 mm. Its multi-stage internal flow design reduces back pressure and improves engine breathing efficiency.
The Komatsu D85 rocket-type top exhaust features a double-layer structure with a 15 mm compressed fiberglass thermal insulator. This configuration minimizes heat transfer to the body and enhances operator safety. The flange connection is reinforced steel with a graphite gasket for reliable sealing. Corrosion resistance is tested for up to 1000 hours in a salt spray chamber. The total system weight is about 11 kg and allows direct mounting on the engine manifold. This design ensures durability, reduced emissions, and optimal performance under harsh working environments.
