The outer diameter ranges from 180 to 185 millimeters, with a thickness of approximately 5 millimeters. The layered structure reinforced with fibers and wear-resistant surface coating extends service life up to 12,000 operating hours. Surface hardness measures between 80 and 90 Rockwell C, and the friction coefficient under dry and lubricated conditions ranges from 0.08 to 0.12. Dimensional accuracy for diameter and flatness is controlled within 0.05 millimeters.

In the design of the ZF 180 graphite plate, stress distribution across the contact surface is engineered to prevent pressure concentration and optimize heat transfer to the oil. Mechanical resistance against instantaneous shock reaches 1000 Nm. Each plate weighs approximately 0.45 to 0.55 kilograms and can be mounted directly on the gearbox clutch shaft. Chemical resistance to hydraulic oil and grease is guaranteed up to 95 percent, with thermal deformation limited to less than 0.3 millimeters.
