Polycord belts are typically made of thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 85 to 95 Shore A. Their outer diameter ranges from 2 mm to 20 mm and they are produced in round, triangular, or square cross-sections. Their tensile strength is enhanced with reinforcements such as polyester or aramid cords. The typical operating temperature range is -20°C to +80°C, and the maximum working speed can reach up to 30 meters per second.

Polyurethane belts are commonly used in timing, flat, and V-belt configurations and possess high mechanical properties. Their elastic modulus generally ranges from 30 to 70 MPa. Timing belt teeth follow profiles like T e.g., T5 or T10 or AT, with precise pitches between 5 to 20 mm. Their tensile strength can reach up to 3000 N/cm. These belts are resistant to oil, chemicals, and abrasion, making them ideal for precision power transmission systems. Their service life under standard conditions is estimated up to 20,000 operating hours.
